INTERFAITH SHELTER NETWORK NORTH COASTAL SHELTER

In the North Coastal region, this small rotating shelter is operated by faith communities that provide 2 weeks at each location.  All services are provided by faith community volunteers.  

 

The shelter is open to men, women and families.  You must be pre-screened by a Community Resource Center case manager to be in this shelter.  You may stay for up to 8 weeks and the main requirement is that you be gainfully employed or actively working towards being employed.

OPERATION HOPE NORTH COUNTY

Operation Hope North County is a year round shelter for families and women operating year round.  The shelter is located in Vista and is setup to provide some privacy for families. Educational and enrichment programs are offered in the evening.

La Posada is located in Carlsbad and operates a year-round short term shelter for farm-workers and men in need of shelter. Support services include case management, showers, breakfast, bagged lunches and supper.

VISTA SAFE PARKING

Supportive services and restrooms are available. 


Case Managers are available onsite to assist with resource navigation, employment opportunities, food access, medical and dental services, and to help individuals and families plan a pathway back to stable housing. 


Basic Requirements
• Participation in JFS’s Case Management Services
• Must have a functioning vehicle (no oversized vehicles or RVs eligible)
• Cannot be a registered sex offender or have any active warrants


YMCA TRANSITIONAL YOUTH OVERNIGHT LODGING

TAY Overnight Lodging provides a once-a-week safe place to stay overnight for youth ages 18-24 as well as meals, access to showers, 1 on 1 case management services, and other resources. A maximum of 5 beds are available on a first-come, first basis. To secure your spot: Check-in between 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at our TAY Drop-In Center.

OCEANSIDE NAVIGATION CENTER

We serve men, women and families experiencing homelessness in Oceanside. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Pets are allowed. Identity will need to be verified.

If you are experiencing homelessness in Oceanside and would like to find out about admission to the Navigation Center, contact the Oceanside Police Department’s Homeless Outreach Team at OPDHOT@oceansideca.org.

Admission to the Oceanside Navigation Center is by referral only through the Oceanside PD’s H.O.T.

BUENA CREEK NAVIGATION CENTER

The BCNC is a Low Barrier sheltering opportunity to individuals experiencing homelessness in the Cities of Vista and Encinitas. The shelter is semi-congregate meaning that individuals will share a bedroom with one other person. Individuals are provided 3 meals daily, showers, laundry, case management, peer support, access to healthcare on-site through Vista Community Clinic, and more. This site accepts PC290s on a case-by-case basis but does not accept registered arsonists. The property is pet friendly when space is available. Referrals are made exclusively through CoC registered outreach programs that operate in the either city.
