The Alliance for Regional Solutions (ARS) is a coalition of North San Diego County social service agencies, municipalities, the County of San Diego, United Way, educational entities, healthcare providers, other agencies and philanthropic bodies working together to create practical solutions to emerging community needs through their combined strengths, shared resources and leveraged assets.
The following are desired outcomes from our shared work and collaborative planning:
- Provide a coordinated perspective to facilitate responsible public policy development and appropriate allocation of resources
- Focus on specific issues and leverage the Alliance’s collective strength to better serve community needs
- Define the scope and depth of existing human services and identify critical unmet needs and priorities
- Facilitate improved coordination of human services throughout San Diego’s North County
- Advocate for services for marginalized community members
- Serve as a community-based source of regional human service information for the public and decision makers
- Share credit, share victories, share set-backs
In addressing community needs, Alliance members recognize our responsibility to continually be aware of and represent the needs of the populations we serve. Their “consumer opinion” is key to effective action and advocacy by the Alliance.
